Azkals vs Real Madrid C.F. (LIVE STREAM)

The Philippine Azkals are going to be taking part in a special charity match up against 3rd division Spanish football team CF Internacional de Madrid (CFIM) at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on Saturday, 4 p.m. for the benefit of typhoon Sendong affected individuals.

Azkals players Phil Younghusband, James Younghusband, Ian Araneta, cocaptain Chieffy Caligdong and Angel Guirado, and others, will get together with members of the United Football League (Philippines) to build the selection team Ázkals Alyansa.



CFIM chief Stephen Kenneth Newman mentioned in a message on Philippine Azkals Facebook profile that the activity...

“is going to be an exciting and competitive match, something which I believe we owe to the organizers of the relief efforts who are working so hard, and to all of the supporters who will turn up for the game“.

Prior to the match, fans is going to be treated to a celebrity football challenge, that'll start at 2 p.m. Kapamilya stars, in the mean time, will lead a telethon to get charitable contributions and pledges for Sagip Kapamilya between 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Ticket revenue along with other proceeds from the game is going to be generously donated to the Philippine National Red Cross to benefit affected individuals of Typhoon Sendong.

Catch the Azkals vs Real Madrid C.F. LIVE STREAM and watch it on Studio 23 this Saturday (Jan 7), 4 p.m. Viewers abroad should be able to catch the thrill via ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Bro channel and IPTV.

Azkals invited Malaysia and India for a Friendly Match


The Philippine Football Federation has invited Malaysia and India to play Azkals in October at his home in a friendly match preview two of the major national team competitions next year.

"Nonong" PFF Chief Mariano Araneta Jr. said Friday that the invitation to both squads came after Nepal has refused to invite PFF for a game show on Oct. 6 football field Rizal Memorial.

Playing against Malaysia and India, ranked No. 146 and n. 153 of the Football Association (FIFA), to give the Filipinos the opportunity to assess their level of competitiveness, because it will test the courage of their future rivals AFF Suzuki Cup and the AFC Challenge Cup, Araneta.


"We have invited India for a day on October 6, while Malaysia October 9," Araneta said, noting that Malaysia's response is expected in the next two days.

Malaysia, who beat Indonesia in the finals to 4-2 overall, is the reigning Cup champion Suzuki. The tournament is the same event, where Azkals brush "with fame began to follow their historic semi-final finish last year.

India on the other hand, the 2008 Challenge Cup champion.

India, along with the Philippines, Nepal and five other countries, will play in the final of the 2012 edition scheduled for March.

Araneta said Nepal hosted the Challenge Cup final, declined the invitation because the work schedule conflicts with the Dashain, the biggest festival in Nepal this year, which will keep the occupied territories of Nepal booters.

Philippine Football Team Azkals Baguio Training

The Philippine Football Team Azkals adapt to the cold in their third day of the training session to continue their six-day training in Baguio City and Benguet.

German coach Hans Michael Weiss, the coach of the national Filipino, said the team had a very good education compared to colder weather in Manila, which is at least 10-15 degrees lower.

The Azkals Pinikpikan defeats Baguio, the selection of football players in the city of Baguio, in a match in the soccer field of the Benguet State University yesterday with a score of 9 -1.

Azkals could one of the best Asean's Football Team


Businessman Manny V. Pangilinan expressed confidence Azkals is one of the top three in early Southeast Asia, Pangilinan has signed a 10-year support for a total of P80 million for football.

Pangilinan, who led the inauguration of the Sports Foundation Inc. MVP at night Meralco MPR Friday night, said he is not giving away a lot just for nothing, but is intended to help the football team of the Philippines from the top three teams from the ASEAN region.
